A community mini-grant allowed a local Girl Scout troop make 35 pillowcases for Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford. Championed by a member of Girl Scout Troop 50742, the girls spent a day learning how to measure, cut, pin, sew and iron the fabric pillow cases, learning both valuable life-skills and the importance of volunteerism.
