Championed by Jennifer Rocca at BHS, the Brookfield Education Foundation has funded the “One Town, One Read” author visit of the book My Dear Hamilton. The book is a work of historical fiction but is based off of the primary source documents that reveal the true lives of American Revolutionaries. The authors, Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie, spoke with 120-140 students about the book, the writing process and the real life Eliza and Alexander Hamilton. Students had the opportunity to review the same primary source documents used by the authors in this book and were able to discuss what they learned about the experience in their History and English classes. This event took place on 9/6/18.
